In order for learning to happen, students must be motivated to learn.  Using games in the classroom is an excellent way to develop individual skills, abilities, and strategies.  In addition, games promote collaboration, peer learning, and encourage active learning even for those students who would prefer sitting on the sidelines.

In this information age, advances in technology have created opportunities and challenges for both our students and our teaching.  Learning to learn has become an all too familiar mantra in education.  Not only do we need to instill learning skills in our students, but we as instructors need to model continual learning for our students.
