Motivating
Students to Succeed in Classes is a Primary Goal to
be Better Prepared for Employment
The Management/Supervision team led by Bob Livingston,
Cerritos College, with considerable input from industry
and government advisors, focused on developing essential
skills for managers in the 21st century. To this
end, three courses were developed: Fundamentals of
Leadership, Motivational Presentation Skills for Managers,
and Computer Skills for Managers. In addition, a video
entitled, "Partnering with Business" shows best practices
through interviews with industry professionals and
educators. An extensive software resource list
and web resources were developed for instructor use.
