The International Business/E-Business
group led by Jane Thompson, Solano Community College, and
Judee Timm, Monterey Peninsula College, focused on the
creation of curriculum that infuses the two most dynamic
components of modern-day business, namely, internationalization
and electronic business. In
addition, this team addressed strategies to help promote
program offerings and increase student success in the understanding
and implementation of globalization in the electronic business
world. Deliverables for this project included:
- A 3-unit course, Multiculturalism in Corporate America, that
can be used to meet the multicultural general education
requirement in most colleges;
- Three 1-unit e-business courses;
- Promotional strategies
to encourage student participation and awareness in international
business courses/programs; and
A list of Web resources and instructional videos that support
cultural awareness in its application to business functions. |
