New Course will Integrate Internet Browser, Digital Cameras, and Compression, Video, Sound, Digital Animation, Virtual Reality, and Other Technologies

The Fine and Applied Arts Team, led by Robert Stewart of Irvine Valley College, recognized that industries supporting multimedia are usually small companies with limited staff resources. Often a single person is responsible for sound, video, animation, virtual reality, etc. The team developed a three-unit course that will be an integration of all these technologies including the browser, digital cameras, compression, video, sound, and immersive environments. The course can be adapted to online use.   The group explored the extent to which Fine and Applied Arts courses can be changed into online courses.
